Octal needed a brand as precisely engineered as its hardware-software systems, and a simple way to talk about it.

Working alongside brand designers Semper Semper, HOOF led the creative positioning and copywriting. The work took Octal from a hard-to-categorise engineering firm to a brand that knows exactly what it does.
The tone of voice is built on precision and charisma, sharp, confident and allergic to jargon. A slimline copy system followed: manifesto, elevator pitch and a headline library that lets Octal sound like itself everywhere.
