Dr Grordbort’s Invaders
Wētā Workshop was launching Dr Grordbort’s Invaders, the flagship mixed-reality game for the new Magic Leap platform. They needed a campaign to introduce the experience.

HOOF founder and creative director Erik Hay developed the trailer and advertising for Dr Grordbort’s Invaders, bringing the game’s retro science-fiction world to life and showing what made the experience different.
The work centred on a robot invasion of the real world, blending live action and gameplay to convey the humour, scale and immediacy of the experience.
The tone stayed true to the Dr Grordbort universe, while keeping things approachable for new audiences.
